6:00pm I rode 12 miles with Julie on Rail trail (on the Nomad) from Carnation to Fall City. We made better time than we did on Saturday.

Wednesday, September 27
Swam for about a half hour with Swim Seattle. Had a good workout. My ankle complained a bit during the kick laps. Then worked on my ankle in the water for 10 minutes.

6:00pm I rode 10 mile with Julie on Rail trail (on the Nomad) from Carnation up Griffin and back. It feels good to be back on the mountain bike. Griffin is a gradual climb...I'm feeling stronger.

My first day back at Cheryl's spinning class. It kicked my butt big time! Very fun. I wore running shoes...big mistake (they were not stiff enough)...it is time to get my biking shoes out. The plan is to not twist out of the clip...but rather just take my foot out of the shoe on the bike.

Got in a nice 30 minute walk in (at lunch time). One big hill... It is going to take a bit to get the walking (both endurance and strength) back. My ankle complained a bit.

Julie and I rode from Carnation to Fall City and back via the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. It was a nice 12 mile out and back ride. This was my first ride on the mountain bike (Nomad) since I broke my ankle. This was also my first night ride (7-9pm)

My first day back to masters swim. Felt really good to be in the pool. I didn't last long (1/2 hour)

Sunday, September 10, 2006
Amy and I rode from my house down the Issaquah-Fall city Road and then out to Carnation. 20 mile round trip. It was a very fun ride! I was really worried about riding back up the Issaquah Fall City Road (3 mile climb). I wont say it was easy, but it was very rewarding. I had no pain in my ankle during the climb and I even stood up on the pedals for a short amount of time.

Went for a 20 mile ride on the Sammamish Trail with Rose today. It felt really good to be back on the bike. I'm seeing some new improvement in the leg. Still have pain when trying to stand on the pedals. I'm pretty pain free while seated. Rode between 80-83% of MHR.

August 20, 2006 was my last road bike ride. road for an hour, out and back on the Sammamish Trail.
