April - change of plans
The weather has been so crummy, that I'm not getting as much time on the bike as I'd like. Thus, today I start back at Cycle U for 2 days a week. I'm also planning on riding Tokul East (free ride + climb) once a week and I start up next week riding either colonnade or Duthie once a week. So I have plans...now just to implement.

March 25, 26, 27 Port Angles Race (NW Cup #1)
Spent the weekend riding the Cat 2 course. It took 3 runs before I could ride the whole thing. Crazy course with 3 drops. The second drop was the scariest and the third was the hardest. I rode well and mastered the course. I didn't race on Sunday, for a myriad of reasons. 1) my full face helmet isn't fitting well, and I had a new one on order that didn't arrive. 2) I was sick all weekend and taking 2 aleve every 4 hours. 3) my leg armor was not staying put - have new on order. 4) with not feeling well, I didn't sleep well. No sleep increases my vertigo possibilities. I was having trouble with the course on Saturday, and I figured it was from being too tired. 5) it was pouring rain - with all the other issues - it wasn't worth racing on a slick course.

March 13 Downhill clinic in Spokane
A few friends and I went to the Speedy Beaver downhill clinic in Spokane. I rode some incredible stuff including a couple of rock drops. The bigger of the rock drops prepared me for the Port Angeles course, drop two was not as long as this rock...so I figured I could ride the drop.
